i was watching mad men last night like all the other vintage lovers, and it always makes me want to look in my old magazines and everywhere for the lovely ads that were made to make you want to buy buy buy!!! here are some i found i like.

MUSIC EVOLUTION

Ive always been a huge music lover i have every device records, tapes and cds.....no 8 tracks thou. my favorite are a records its something about the sound of that scratchy noise in the back ground makes it more better. There are some singers that ive always have been in to like elvis,hank williams., ramones, social distortion, and all 50s bubble gum pop. Now i started out listen to what i was around all the time and in the midwest that its rock bands like korn, papa roach and Lincoln park and i realized quick that wasnt for me. I then got in to punk like x ray spec, sex pistols, and the cramps, black flag and tons more and i still love it but now for last 5 years it been rockabilly and psychobilly bands like rev horton heat, kim lenz, demented to go,shackshackers, honeybees,the creepshow, the brains and some many more here some my favorites

alone time

well i had to go out and get me a day job so i haven't been doing many things in the land of beauty so i haven't been able to post much i hope to change that here is my latest project lace nails i didnt have all i needed i just used base coat lace and top coat so it was alittle stiff and snagged on things i need to get 

Brush-on Gel Resin Glue dry spray to do it right but i think i did good for first time

VALENTINES

I have a few more ideas as far as my wedding im doing a dual ceremony and reception we dont have the funds for anything more then that so i want my tables perfect. Instead of flowers as center pieces i thought a tree type hanger with old vintage valentines hanging from it. Now im thinking more about it ill have to have some flowers at the base. If you cant tell im a flake im always thinking of a thousand ways to do something. Ill be changing things up again soon im sure so stay tuned......

RED WHITE AND BLUE

Well Monday is the forth of July and we Americans always need to show off our love for our country. So i have this client that wants the American flag on her nails now she is a older woman in her 60s a lil of a perfectionist so they have to look nice and neat proper like. Here the problem this is something I've never been ask to do i can do zebra  print all day long but never flags so here pics of what i need to learn to do by Thursday wish me luck!!!

wedding ideas

Well my papa bear and i have decided when our date is so now i thinking the cheapest way to have a fun wedding and still show my personality so backyard garden party it is. Mismatched Victorian plates, lace linens, plant potters, old postcards and lot more. I want a 50s style party dress of course lol. I still need lots ideas so if anyone got any throw them this way thanks have wonderful day.

I got a call from my grammie the other day and she asked if i still wanted my great grandma hamby genie lamps i totally forgot that she was keeping them for me since i was 15 when my gg hamby passed on. I alway associate these with her the man was next to my great grandpa chair woman was next to hers. I thought they were gone forever so i went a got them right away and have them set up just like she use to.

well its time to get ready to go off to my training as a beauty professional. thing is my hair is a mess and when i say mess i mean mess like a rat nest tight curls loose curls frizz all the things that equal bad hair i could put in a french twist but im bored with that. what to do what to do !!!!!!!

 finally here it is a true picture of the daily fro i call my hair wish me luck and if anyone has suggestions let me know lol!!!!!!

maybe some nails

I know i know im supposed to have pictures of my bleached out hair put up but since my camera it a horrible piece of equipment and hates me for whatever reason i decides to put pics of my nails. this is my weakest point i have no talent in this area which is a art in its own right. the fact i hate fake nails does not help my cause but ive been teaching myself how to paint on a fake french tip on your real nail. Its easier then it sound you just take a bit of polish and follow the curve of the nail then take a lil brush with polish remover to  fix the imperfections then put top coat and done just practise makes perfect.

self project

well im still in the process of doing my hair i got help lighting the whole bottom layer but since my hair so dark i got to go over it again see if i can get it any lighter then ill have to tone it and when it all over i will show it to the world lol

mod is the word

Im not a small girl but i go gaga over the cloths at http://www.modcloth.com they put a modern twist on vintage clothing. now the 70s are coming back in a big way even thou its not my favorite decade they make the cutest things. im starting the work out at my local gym next week so its a goal of mine to be able to buy something on here that fits perfect check it out

Not my cup of tea

Sad to say i have not been doing much hair lately i know makes me sound like im slacking but ive been scheduled to do a lot of micoderms so there been no time. For all you who dont no what that is its a machine has crystals and you go over the face or body with a pen that put out crystals and used suction to vacuum up all the dead skin so the skin rejuvenate its self. no i feel this isnt my passion but i like it and its a big tip maker. i did do a shampoo set on a older woman, i used spray starch and a curling iron what is the best way? i like to no what to use. i picked it out so it looked great i just want to be faster. so i need to get back in old way.

do i make the cut

There are times when you second guess your self, there are doubts are you sure you can succeed. Yesterday was one those days i was doing a regular lighter so i figure everything would go fine one thing i didnt do was a strand test. I applied the bleach made sure both sides looked alike washed out after like 20mins and noticed right off  it was mushy scared me we brushed it huge clumps came out. I made this woman cry i almost started to myself she so frightened she going to have cut her hair or go bald i dont no what to do i no there not much can be done i told her alot condition and protein  treatments and said whatever i can do. Its things like this is when i dont think i should be doing this am i not made to do what i love in life. No matter what i do it seems i just mess up hard core. I get lost in it and have to start climbing out my hole all over again.   

THAT TIME IN A HAIRS LIFE

My poor nine old sister is in that bad hair cycle in life, you know those few years in life where your hair is a total mess no matter what you do you cant fix it. If you say you haven't ever had this problem your lying or your time has not come rest a sure it will lol. So my baby sis Callie's hair is a matted mess no matter what product i put in it, if i curl it or straightening it, that mouse of a hot mess is the beast I'm trying to tame i think when i find the right cut we will get over this mess. I need some good suggestions.

All i wanted to day was a roller set in my hair. i was bond and determined to have it done i even brought my own setting lotion by design essentials because my school does not sell it. i want my tight curls to turn in to bouncy Marilyn curls. First got in trouble for toning leonnas hair because we were told to wait, then had to get mannequin work done before anything fun was to be done. Since leonna is leaving for Atlanta tomorrow i wanted to make sure this girl was happy with everything  i gave her a pedi to before she goes off to see her man at his graduation . A girls work is never done so no roller set for me I'm dreaming of loose curl like  the one and only MM!!!

mothers day

Hope everyone had a wonderful mothers day. Had a pretty decent one for not having children of my own for now. Went and helped my 9 yr old twin brother and sister plant flowers for my mommy dearest. Then off to my grandparents, my wonderful fiancee mowed the yard while my grandma showed the young ones pictures from when i was young and even father back when my mom and when they were to. i just loved the pictures of my great aunt pat she had the perfect bufont hair it was perfectly teased and like a helmet hair i swear i will never have with my kinky curly hair.
